We’re a family run kennels passionate about dogs. Previously known as Denmar, we offer values and standards that honour its reputation.
We lead walk all dogs so that we can monitor any subtle changes that may need our attention. No dogs are put in free runs and left to self-reward.
We provide different types of dog training with an experienced and qualified dog trainer. We have an outdoor and indoor training areas.
Barlings Boarding Kennels is a family run kennels with a passion for dogs, the kennels used to be known as Denmar and still holds the same values and standards to which that its reputation is well known.
We provide a boarding service as well as a training school for all types of dog activities.
We are set in a rural location that is peaceful and relaxing for the dogs that stay with us.
The kennels are large and offer fresh air maximum light and the opportunity to see and hear all the countryside.
We have a passionate and experienced team with experience of caring for dogs in many climates and conditions from around the world.
As we are a fully licensed and insured boarding establishment that takes dogs only.
Your dog will be kept and cared for in a safe spacious kennel environment that is set in a rural setting for maximum peace and minimum disturbance.
We require all dogs that stay with us to have the following:
An up to date vaccination card which includes the kennel cough vaccination. This will be checked on arrival before the dog can enter the kennels. If a dog cannot have the kennel cough vaccine due to medical reasons please have proof of ineligibility from your vets and this can be accommodated.
The dog will need a collar on and a lead. We do use retractable leads and longlines to give the dogs more freedom and the chance to run as much as possible.
Any personnel effects that might help the dogs and help us make them feel at home. Things like gulp bowls for dogs that rush eating, toys that they play with or even the bed that they are used to.
And please tell us as much about your dog as possible so that we can get the best understanding of the character and personality we have in our care.

What you need to bring
Please note: Picking up and dropping off is between 9-11am and 3-5pm 7 days a week.
We have a selection of feeds we provide in the cost.
Medication and specialist feeds can be given daily when provided by the owner.
Please bring your dogs vet records with you so we can fill out a small form for our records.
The kennel cough vaccine needs to be given 3 weeks or more to coming in if you choose to have the vaccine.
We walk all our dogs staying with us morning and afternoon around our large exercise field allowing them the freedom to express themselves and promote natural behaviour.
Our kennel block is heated for winter routine and great air flow for summer routine.
1 dog is £12 a day
2 dogs sharing a kennel is £20 a day
Please Note: As of the 1st of November 2020 single dogs will be charged at £14 a day
The 24hr period is from 9am to the following 9am.
Please note: Currently we do not accept debit or credit cards – sorry for any inconvenience.
We provide 1 to 1 training sessions that are bespoke to your requirements.
The onus is on you and your dog having fun and leaving with a positive attitude and sense of achievement.
You will be trained to train your own dog so you feel empowered when at home and have a plan.
We have a selection of our own dogs that join in the classes as a distraction.

Look out for our sign
The postcode is LN3 5DG but a number of farms fall under it.
To best locate us please follow these instructions:
Turn on to Barlings Lane from the A158 at Langworth – go up Barlings Lane all the way till you see a black and white sign ( approx 1.5 miles).
The black and white sign points to Low Barlings to the left ( sat nav may take you this way ignore it) and Reepham and Fiskerton to the right.
Go to the right towards Reepham and Fiskerton and we are 1 minute round the bend on the left with our sign at the end of the drive.
